Information for AFRISCO's clients

The fee structure

Afrisco Certified Organic  is a company whose income (more than 98%) comes from fees charged to its clients.  (Other fees may be charged to government departments or groups who request training in meeting certification requirements.)
Fees for inspection and certification will be paid before the annual inspection.  No fee is refundable if certification is not approved.
The table following provides a guide to operators.  However, if a review of the initial questionnaire indicates that the operation to be inspected is complicated or will require more than one inspection per year, we will negotiate a rate with the operator.  The same applies to processing and input operations.  Similarly, if a full annual farm inspection is not required, it may be possible to reduce the inspection fee in some years, but no operator should count on this.
If any group of producers applies together for Afrisco certification, we will endeavour to offer a lower price if we can find economies of scale.  Please ask for a quote.
Fees will be paid before the annual inspection.
No fees should be paid by the operator to the inspector.
